We will be performing scheduled maintenance over the weekend of 5th/6th October 2024, which will require a short period of downtime. More details can be found at https://community.breww.com/t/scheduled-maintenance-with-short-downtime-weekend-of-5th-6th-october-2024/4915
This was following a suggestion on our community, and further context can be found there.
HMRC have clarified that alcoholic drinks that qualify for Small Producer Relief will be paid at the duty rate that applied at the point of production, not the rate that applied at the point of dispatch. We have already built this change into Breww, so if you use Breww to calculate your duty returns, you have nothing to worry about.
However, if you'd like to learn more, please see our article here on what's changing and why.
Throughout Breww, the items you purchase (such as ingredients, packaging, etc) are called "Stock items". (In contrast, the items you sell are called Products.) However, in the main menu, there is an "Inventory" section, so to improve consistency we will soon be renaming this to "Stock items". Don't worry, nothing is changing about how they work, or what's shown, this is just a terminology change.
There's no change to functionality; this is just a terminology change. This button should still be used to indicate that a delivery has left the brewery/fulfilment-site and will still result in duty being calculated and added to your return at this point (in the UK).

If you haven't enabled the Square or Zettle integrations due to the extra fees, well, you're now in luck! As of today, these integrations are both free.
If you've already enabled these integrations, then we're making them free for you too, so going forward you won't see any extra charges for these.
Enjoy!
The "theoretical max" stock availability figures have up until now only considered stock of component stock items if the product didn't include any beer components.
For example, if a mixed-pack product had a number of different beers in it, plus a box, the stock of the box wasn't part of the "theoretical max" calculation. If a product only "contained" a stock item, for example, a branded glass that you bought in and sold on, these have always used the stock item's stock level for the product.
Following our recent changes to have more control over these components, we've now included these in the "theoretical max" stock calculation, if the "Used when product is assembled from existing stock" box is ticked.
This change shouldn't cause you any problems, but will in some cases reduce how much Breww thinks you can produce, but this is being reduced to a more accurate number. If you have any questions on this and your own data, please open a support ticket and we will be happy to help.
This change will be applied later today.
In addition to continuing to accept credit/debit cards for paying for your Breww subscription, you can now switch to Bacs Direct Debit, if you'd like.
To swap from card to Direct Debit payments, please go to Settings > Billing, then from the bottom of the page, you should be able to add a new payment method. From here, you can enter your bank details and agree to the Direct Debit mandate. If you make sure this is then your "default" payment method, Breww will use this for all future payments.
