Prefer to manage batches in Hectolitres or Beer bbl instead of Litres or US Gallons?

You can now choose which volume unit will be used for all basic batch management (such as recipe volumes, batch volumes, transfer volumes, loss volumes, etc). To change the option on your account, go to Settings > Production settings and choose from one of the following options:

  • Hectolitres (hL)
  • Litres (L)
  • US Gallons
  • US Beer Barrels

Prior to today's change, you had to use either Litres or US Gallons (depending on your "Unit system" option), but now you have complete flexibility of which unit to use.

More settings for email CC & BCC addresses for delivery notes & purchase orders

You've been able to set default CC and BCC email addresses for invoice & credit note emails for a long time in Breww, but it's not been possible to set these for delivery notes or purchase orders - now you can! This was a great suggestion from our community and the options can be found in Settings > Email settings.

Mobile app stock picking process with barcode scanning

We've launched the first version of our brand new mobile-app-based picking process. This new tool will guide you around your warehouse to the different locations and prompt you to pick the stock needed for each delivery. In the case of casks/kegs (and some smallpack), you can scan the container's barcode to assign the stock and confirm the item has been picked. For more information, please see our help guide. This is a "beta" launch, so please let us know if you experience any issues and of course we welcome all feedback 😁

Override delivery drop duration on a per customer basis (used in delivery routing)

With our "Advanced deliveries" delivery routing, the amount of time it takes to actually complete a delivery is taken from the customer's "Customer type". Now, you can set an override on a per-customer basis if you have a customer that is different from the norm.

To update this, go to the main page for the customer and use the edit button next to their drop duration.

Print stock labels with non-returnable barcodes pre-packaging

It's now possible to print labels with unique non-returnable barcodes before creating the packaging!

From the "Print labels in advance of racking" option on a planned packaging, you can now select the "Would you like to print these labels with unique non-returnable numbers?" option and Breww will print labels with "reserved" non-returnable codes. To use these "reserved" codes, simply scan or select the non-returnable codes you've used when packaging as if they were your own returnable containers.

You can read more about this new feature and how to use it here!

Override on a customer whether they automatically receive delivery note emails

It's now possible to override your default "Automatically send delivery note" setting on a per-customer basis.

Simply go to the customer and choose whether delivery notes should "Always automatically send", "Never automatically send", or "Use account settings".

Another great suggestion from our community.

Option to require a recipe on all batches

By default, the recipe field on a batch is optional, but if you know that you always want a recipe assigned to a batch, you can now make this field required in your Production settings. This was another fantastic suggestion from our community (see here); thank you!
