On an ingredient stock item, you can now specify alternative ingredients that can be used as substitutes when the usual is out of stock. When defining the possible substitutes, you can also set a quantity multiplier in case you need to use more or less of the alternative item. Substitutes will never be automatically applied to the batch, but this makes it really easy for you to confirm the substitute used. To get started, go to an ingredient and add an alternative in the "Recipe substitutions" section 😁

For further customisability, you can now set the stock label template to use on a per-product and per-beer basis (in addition to per-container-type). More details can be found here.

You no longer need to manually determine the correct delivery date and delivery method for each order. Define your delivery rules and let Breww schedule them for you automatically upon confirming the order. Please see our How to configure "Delivery rules" to automatically schedule your deliveries help guide for more information on how to set this up on your Breww account.

HMRC have clarified that alcoholic drinks that qualify for Small Producer Relief will be paid at the duty rate that applied at the point of production, not the rate that applied at the point of dispatch. We have already built this change into Breww, so if you use Breww to calculate your duty returns, you have nothing to worry about.

Our Container Deposit Schemes feature has just had a huge update to let you return CDS deposits to your customers. Find out more about how this works here. Schemes like this are not as common in the UK as they are in other parts of the world, but they're a great way to ensure that your casks/kegs don't get lost and certainly don't become tables, dog water dispensers or anything else!

Just like you can already do with Custom Report Builder reports, you can now get your Raw Data Explorer reports delivered to you by email every day/week/month. To get started, create a Raw Data Explorer report, save it and then scroll to the bottom of the page to schedule automatic delivery by email.

When managing your deliveries, you can assign specific stock (such as specific kegs) to a delivery. Sometimes, at the point of ordering, you will want to choose which batch of stock must be used to fulfil the delivery but don’t yet know which specific cask/keg numbers will be used. Breww now supports this workflow. For more, please see How to pre-assign a batch of stock to an order without choosing specific containers until later.

Over the last few weeks, we have been trialling our courier integrations with a number of customers, and we're delighted to announce that this test is complete, so this feature is now open for everyone to take advantage of. If you send parcels via a supported courier, you can now create shipping labels and track the parcel's delivery progress without leaving Breww. We're delighted to launch a long-awaited new feature! You can now prepare a bulk move of product stock and schedule this into a delivery run. This works much like a standard order delivery, but with the stock being moved between sites in Breww (rather than delivered to a customer). See our help guide here for more information.
