Set custom stock item sub-types for ingredients and other stock item types

You can now manage your own custom sub-types for all types of stock items to make managing and organising your stock items easier. Manage your options at Stock items (previously Inventory) > Tools & options > Stock item sub-types.

To take advantage of Alpha Acid calculations (and more ingredient calculations that are coming soon), make sure to pick the type of ingredient that your sub-type refers to.

Notes can be added to planned packagings

This is another great suggestion from our community, see Add notes to planned packaging.

The "Inventory" main menu item will soon be renamed to "Stock items"

Throughout Breww, the items you purchase (such as ingredients, packaging, etc) are called "Stock items". (In contrast, the items you sell are called Products.) However, in the main menu, there is an "Inventory" section, so to improve consistency we will soon be renaming this to "Stock items". Don't worry, nothing is changing about how they work, or what's shown, this is just a terminology change.

Option added to automatically update the scheduled date of a delivery/collection if it is dispatched early or late

Enabling this will mean that you cannot report on deliveries/collections that were completed on a different date to the scheduled date, but will ensure they show on the logical date in the deliveries section. This option can be found in Settings > Delivery settings.

"Mark as left duty suspense" has been named to "Mark as dispatched"

There's no change to functionality; this is just a terminology change. This button should still be used to indicate that a delivery has left the brewery/fulfilment-site and will still result in duty being calculated and added to your return at this point (in the UK).

Print smallpack stock labels with the Packaging ID barcode pre-packaging

It's now possible to print pre-packaging stock labels for smallpack with a unique Packaging ID! This was recently made possible for cask and keg products, and it is now also available for smallpack products.

To read more about how to use this feature, you can read more on our community here.

"Mark as left duty suspense" will be named to "Mark as dispatched" soon

We will soon be renaming the "Mark as left duty suspense" buttons to "Mark as dispatched". There's no change to functionality; this is just a terminology change. Prefer to manage batches in Hectolitres or Beer bbl instead of Litres or US Gallons?

You can now choose which volume unit will be used for all basic batch management (such as recipe volumes, batch volumes, transfer volumes, loss volumes, etc). To change the option on your account, go to Settings > Production settings and choose from one of the following options:

  • Hectolitres (hL)
  • Litres (L)
  • US Gallons
  • US Beer Barrels

Prior to today's change, you had to use either Litres or US Gallons (depending on your "Unit system" option), but now you have complete flexibility of which unit to use.

Use Vehicle Profiles to further customise delivery routing

You can now create vehicle profiles (and assign vehicles to them) to fine-tune how Breww's Advanced Deliveries routing works. Find out more at Use Vehicle Profiles to further customise delivery routing.
